Officers found a container of Gin on the drivers side of the SUV when they conducted a quick inventory of the vehicle. A drivers license check showed that Pewitte had been charged three prior times with DUI. His license was also revoked because he was listed as an habitual offender. As a result of the past situations, he was charged with DUI Number 4, Driving on a Revoked License, Habitual Offender and Criminal Impersonation. The Criminal Impersonation charge was filed because Pewitte originally told police his last name was Pruitt.

Once at jail, the man agreed to give blood so that blood / alcohol content test could be conducted before his court date which will be in the near future. As of Tuesday night, Pewitte was still behind bars. He is being held under a $10,500 bond.
