SIGN IN WHEN YOU ENTER A MURFREESBORO SCHOOL: Ain't Nobody Got Time for That

In this day and time, you cannot take school safety lightly… that was exemplified earlier this week when Murfreesboro Police were called to Hobgood Elementary School after a parent allegedly refused to sign in upon her visit. On Monday, the school administrator stopped the parent in the hallway of the school and informed her that she violated school security procedure by entering the school without signing in. The culprit reportedly became angry with the administrator and stated, “She needed to talk to her child’s teacher about the state’s testing.” As you may or may not know, schools recently conducted T-CAP testing.

Police arrived and met with the parent who allegedly told the administrator at Hobgood that she did not have time for the sign in process. The officer evidently made it very clear to the parent that her actions of refusing to sign in would not be tolerated. The mother ended up leaving the school without further incident. No arrest was made.
