Murfreesboro Police are investigating two Monday morning shootings. NewsChannel 5 reports a man accidentally shot himself in the hand at the intersection of Lascassas Pike and Northfield Boulevard.

In another incident, which is unrelated, a victim was rushed to the hospital after a shooting on Cypress Drive. NewsChannel 5 reports the victim was robbed at gunpoint and shot in the leg during a scuffle.

MPD detectives continue to investigate.
