A wanted sex offender from La Vergne has been arrested. John Fesmire with La Vergne Police told NewsRadio WGNS Michael Cavallo has been arrested for failing to properly notify police of his release from the Rutherford County jail in 2015.

We told you earlier Cavallo was arrested on October 28, 2015 for failing to timely register in July of 2015. Cavallo made bond and did not report that to LaVergne Police. The last time that Cavallo properly registered was August 1, 2014. Due to Cavallo's classification with the state's sex offender registry, he must report with his supervising agency (La Vergne Police Department) once per year within a week of his birthday.

The La Vergne Police Department told WGNS that Ivor Gross turned himself in for a second time after authorities say that he skipped a required reporting period for the month of December 2015.

On Monday, WGNS reported that Gross turned himself in... which he did. But, once he bonded out of jail he failed to report back to the LaVergne Police Department. On Wednesday afternoon WGNS learned that once again Gross turned himself in.

Due to Gross' classification status with the state's sex offender registry, he must report with his supervising agency (La Vergne Police Department) every March, June, September, & December. Additionally, Gross has failed to properly notify the La Vergne Police Department of his release from the Rutherford County jail on March 6, 2016. Tennessee law requires sex offenders to notify their supervising agency within 48 hours of release of any detention facility.

Police in LaVergne are also seeking to locate and arrest Michael Cavallo, another registered sex offender, for failing to properly notify police of his release from the Rutherford County jail in 2015. Cavallo was arrested on October 28, 2015 for failing to timely register in July of 2015. Cavallo made bond on 10-28-15 and still has not reported with LaVergne Police. The last time that Cavallo properly registered was August 1, 2014. Due to Cavallo's classification with the state's sex offender registry, he must report with his supervising agency (La Vergne Police Department) once per year within a week of his birthday.

If you know where Gross or Cavallo are, we ask that you contact the La Vergne Police Department at 615-793-7744 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, the Rutherford County Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP (7867).
