Habitat's Board President Tom Fix announced that they have reached a milestone of 150 homes in Rutherford County, but with the area's growth--that represents less than 1 per cent of the low-income population.

Executive Director Terri Shultz explained how Habitat is a community that helps each other . . .

Shultz said, "It takes around 300 volunteers to build a Habitat home. Habitat for Humanity involves all segments of the Heart of Tennessee."

About the time Friday's luncheon was ending, work on the VETERAN'S HOME PROJECT began. That home will be dedicated on May 19, 2018, which is Armed Forces Day. The proud veteran stood and was honored for service to our country.
