Marsilene "Marcie" Smith disappeared about seven years ago and to date, her body has not been found. Glover Palmer Smith, the husband of Marcie Smith, was convicted for tampering with evidence and lying to police, but was never charged with her murder. Glover maintains his innocence and even appealed the original conviction for tampering with evidence. As of Thursday, the courts are not seeing it his way.

On Thursday afternoon, Murfreesboro Chief of Police Glenn Chrisman stated: “We are glad the Court found there was sufficient evidence and legal grounds to uphold Smith’s convictions. He has been, and continues to be the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife Marsilene Smith. We hope that this ruling will move us closer to the assurance of justice

for the victim and her family.”

Smith disappeared on Dec. 6, 2007. When Smith went missing, she and her husband lived in the Insbrooke subdivision off of South Church St. in Murfreesboro.

Seven years ago, Marcie’s SUV was seen at Walmart on South Rutherford Boulevard on the night she reportedly went missing. A security video captured someone pulling a bike out of the rear of the SUV and then leaving the SUV behind. However, Marcie, who was 69 when she went missing, was never seen.
