This week in Tennessee, Representative Jody Barrett, a Republican from Dickson, introduced a bill known as HB 2032. The proposed legislation aims to permit individuals holding specific licenses to carry firearms within businesses that currently prohibit or restrict such possession. If passed, the bill would eliminate offenses related to possessing weapons in establishments that have restrictions, granting individuals with an enhanced handgun carry permit the ability to carry their firearms inside such premises.
