Solid Rain Saturday Force Cancellation

Rainy weather has caused cancellation of Jazz Fest for Saturday.  "We are sad beyond words, that the weather did not cooperate.  See you next year." said organizers late Saturday morning."

Friday Night's Cool Event Happened

The night before, temps were in the mid 60s along with 20 mile per hour winds, as some of the area's finest high school jazz bands were on stage Friday evening.

Many uptown merchants around the historic square catered to the growing crowd that increased as the cloak of night covered pre-Civil War courthouse.

Friday night jazz fans were thrilled that the inclement weather held off. The rain moved-in Saturday and forced cancellation of the popular yearly event on the historic Murfreesboro square.

A special THANK YOU to Kathleen Herzog, executive director of the Main Street program, who along with downtown merchants and other supporters work hard to present this special event each year.
