The Salvation Army is gearing up for their Angel Tree distribution this Friday. Lieutenant Andy and Captain Monica Seiler tell NewsRadio WGNS 878 children and 371 families will receive gifts this year, thanks to the community's generosity.

Also, for those in the community who have purchased gift cards at Kroger as part of the Food For Angels program, you'll be glad to know all of the families who are being helped by the Salvation Army will receive gift cards to help with Christmas dinner.

Distribution will be Friday morning at the Salvation Army's "Center of Hope," which is just off Salem Highway.
