Special Kids Raises $40,000 in Golf Tournament

Local nonprofit organization Special Kids announces the 14th Annual Special Kids Golf Classic, presented by Nissan, raised over $40,000 for children with special needs receiving services at Special Kids.

The event took place at Indian Hills Golf Course in Murfreesboro on Thursday, May 9, with nearly 60 teams spread over morning and afternoon tournaments, making it the largest golf classic in the history of the nonprofit. Players enjoyed morning refreshments from Lewis Brothers Bakery and Just Love Coffee and an afternoon feast provided by Slick Pig BBQ and Stones River Grill.

The 14th Annual Special Kids Golf Classic was presented by Nissan for the second year in a row. Ace sponsors included Aetna, Apex Construction, Best Buy, Tri Star Title & Escrow, and Yates Services, LLC. The albatross sponsor was Newk’s Eatery, and the eagle sponsor was Tennessee Pediatrics. Birdie sponsors included Ascend Federal Credit Union, CRF Properties, and Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc.
