Segment I: During the first portion of the show, we learned about an upcoming car and bike show that will be held in Murfreesboro on Saturday, June 24th. The event will be directly off I-840 at Exit 61 along Jefferson Pike, which is just a few miles away from the Nashville Super Speedway (Car and Bike Show Location: SRM Concrete Headquarters at 1000 Hollingshead Circle, Murfreesboro, TN). WGNS' Scott Walker talked to Christi Welker, who is Darrens surviving wife. She talked about the car and bike show that is being held to raise money for the Servant Heart Fund, which was started by Darren's wife to carry on his tradition mission work and local service projects that are focused on helping the elderly and widows throughout Rutherford County. In fact, a 501(c)3 non-profit was started after her husband died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in 2020. On the first segment of the Action Line, we also learned how important this fund is and how it is used to help others. More Details: For additional information, visit DarrenWelkerServantHeartFund.org or stop by their Facbook page, @Dwservantheartfund.

Segment II: Rutherford County Commissioner Craig Harris talks about the Opioid Crisis Locally

Segment III: WGNS' Scott Walker talked to representatives of both FEMA and the Small Business Administration and learned about low interest loans that are available to anyone in Rutherford and Cannon County - if they received damage caused during a storm system that swept through our area locally on March 31 and April 1, 2023. In this segment, you will learn where to go / how to apply for a loan to repair your home and more. For links and key details from this segment of the show, click HERE.
