MURFREESBORO, TN - Another theft case is in the news and Murfreesboro Detectives need help identifying yet again, another person of interest. In this particular case that unfolded on April 24th, an unidentified male is accused of shoplifting merchandise from Kelton's Hardware and Pet's on Old Fort Pkwy near Gresham Lane. What makes this case different from many of the other shoplifting stories we have reported on - - is that it hits a little closer to home because Kelton's is a family owned and operated business with roots right here in the 'Boro. Kelton's owners are from Rutherford County and have grown up in the Murfreesboro area.

In this story, police say the unknown culprit selected the merchandise he wanted and then placed it next to a door, possibly to prepare for a speedy exit. When the man was finished browsing, he headed towards the door, the same door that he carefully placed merchandise next to that he previously picked up. Employees suggested as he walked out of the store, he allegedly grabbed the carefully placed item sitting by the door and fled.

Authorities in Murfreesboro are asking the community for help in naming the individual who was was caught on camera inside the store. If you recognize the man seen in the pictures above this article, please contact MPD Detective Aaron Gonzalez at 629-201-5638.
